The Key Note Speaker for these two days will be Dr Mark Czarnota who Blueberries NZ have sponsored from USA to attend these days.  Dr Czarnota is Associate Professor, Department of Horticulture, University of Georgia.   His research focuses on weed control systems in all aspects of landscape and ornamental production including blueberries.  One of the important pieces of his research programme is to evaluate herbicides for safety and efficacy in blueberries at various stages of growth and growing conditions (mulch, no mulch, containers, plastic ground cover etc)    He will be attending both the Field day and the AGM.
